Wailing on your ABS sensor with hammers and screwdrivers will make your ABS not work. Thanks to Boxer_4's fantastic idea to try and get the wheel stud in without removing the ABS Sensor, I was able to fix this within 20 minutes this morning. Of course, now when I come to a stop the ABS kicks in. So it’s not the worst but definitely not right… I can deal with it for now and order a new sensor to be installed at a later date.
And yes, I am still pretending Oppo is going no where and doing normal posts. I have signed up for all lifeboats and will stay with the ship to the bitter end

Accurate. I should have took a picture of the absolute mess of tools I had on the ground by me just trying every possible combination to gain leverage. It was also super satisfying swinging the dead blow about 5
0 times this morning to knock out the old wheel stud.

Your car have a (more or less) dedicated ABS fuse you can pull in the meantime?

I believe so. I’ll do that before I drive it again.

Good on you! I’m still checking it as well.
..and the DriveTribe! Still hoping we can find something other than Drivetribe though, personally.
Also, HAH! You and your fancy ABS! My Accent doesn’t even have ABS! Or Cruise....or remote locking....or power locks...or power windows.......or power mirrors...
The EVAP pressure sensor is giving me hell at the moment though...

I’m still somewhat surprised I didn’t break ABS changing my struts. I didn’t touch the sensors, but pulling the cables out of the brackets ended up putting a lot of force on the cables when they came free.
Hope it’s easy to get things fixed.
